addhelp addhelp [level to read] [keyword(s)]

This is how to add help files to the mud. You may add more than one keyword but when you use 'helpedit' to edit that file, you will need to use the -last- keyword entered.

addmob addmob [mvnum] [name]

This adds a new blank mobile to an area. You should start with the first vnum in the area and continue sequentially as this makes an incredible difference to the person who proofreads your area. Do NOT color this name, this is the keyword players must type in order to interact with the mobile.

addobject addobj [ovnum] [name]

This adds a blank piece of equipment to the area. You should start with the first vnum in the area and continue sequentially as this makes it a lot easier for the person who proofreads your area. DO NOT color this name, this is the keyword players must type in order to manipulate the object.

addreset addreset [arg]

*clone clone [obj|mob|room] [vnum]

This makes making duplicates a breeze, but should be used with caution. Regardless are what you are cloning, you need to be in the editing mode for that obj/mob or room and be in the blank vnum. So if you want to clone room 101 to 102. You would stand in room 102 and type "clone room 101" There may be some parts that are not cloned and will need to be set by hand.

This will bring up a list of all available commands for you to use in builder.

delmobil delmobil

This is a safety catch to prevent accidental deletion of mobiles.

*delmobile delmobile [mvnum]

You should be in "nedit" (safest) This deletes the mobile of the specified vnum. You should make sure there are no resets for the mobile in any rooms as this could cause a bug upon reboot. *NOTE* You must remove any special functions from the mob before deleting.

delobjec delobjec

This is a safety catch to prevent accidental deletion of objects.

*delobject delobject [ovnum]

You should be in "nedit" (safest) This deletes the object of the specified vnum. You should make sure there are no resets for the object in any rooms as this could cause a bug upon reboot.

delreset delreset [number]

This deletes the specified numbered reset in a room. To see what resets are available, "showresets" will show them and give the number.

delroo delroo

This is a safety catch to prevent accidental deletion of rooms

delroom delroom

You should be in "nedit" (safest) This deletes the room of the specified vnum. You should make sure there are no resets in the room and that all mobiles are purged, move yourself to another room and then delroom.

dig dig [dir] [rvnum] (onesided)

This is how you add new rooms to your area. The argument "onesided" is optional and only needs to be used if this is going to be a onesided door. If you need to make it onesided later, this can be done as well.

findarea findarea [name|all]

This command allows you to find a certain areas vnum, or if the all option is used, allows you to see which areas you are authorized to write in. NOTE: color codes are needed if you choose to enter the name.

*findhelp findhelp [keyword|all]

This allows you to see if a help file exists with a particular keyword. The option "all" is SM code created by Maddog.

findmob findmob [keyword|all]

Finds mobs with a particular name or all mobs in the area.

findmobroom findmobroom [mvnum]

Finds the room the mobile reset of the specified vnum is in.

findobject findobject [name|all]

This finds all objects of the specified name or the option "all" to find all objects in the area.

findroom findroom [name|all]

This locates the vnum of the specified room name or all rooms in the area.

forcereset forcereset

This is multipurpose, it forces the area to repop and if there have been any changes in the area since the areas last save, it will also cause it to save the file.

*goto goto [victim|rvnum]

This will transport you to either the victim (player or mobile) or to the room vnum specified. In builder this command was modified to only allow access to areas the person has read/write permissions in.

help help [arg]

This will give a help file on the specified word, if one exists.

helpedit helpedit [keyword]

This is where you actually edit the help file. Remember to clear the text first ( .clear) and to use the last keyword you entered (in the case of multiple keywords)

list list

Shows information depending on which editing mode you are in. See also "x"

liquids liquids

Lists the liquids and the number value assigned to each.

makearea makearea [filename] [# of rooms]

This is how you create a new area, The filename should be something descriptive of the area, mykeep.are for instance and the number of rooms is how many total rooms will be allocated to that area. So if you wanted a 25 vnum keep area you would enter, makearea mykeep.are 25.

medit medit [mvnum]

This puts you in mob editing mode of the specified vnum

*mpchecks mpchecks

This gives a list of all mobprog checks that may be used., SM addition.

*mpedit mpedit [mvnum]

This will set you in mobprog editing mode of the specified mob vnum.

*mptypes mptypes

Lists the types of mobprogs that may be used.

nedit nedit

This takes you out of all editing modes.

oedit oedit [ovnum]

This places you in object editing mode of the specified vnum.

*realm realm

This shows a list of the realms for v5 on weapons.

redit redit

This places you in room editing mode and sets the vnum to the current room.

set set

In any editing mode this will show the properties that may be set for that mode.

*setarea setarea or setarea [arg]

This command is usually reserved for level 84 and above immortals. Type setarea for the syntaxes for each part of the command. The option for no_travel areas is SM specific

showarea showarea

This gives details on the area. These may only be set by a level 84 or higher.

showmob showmob [mvnum]

This shows the mob of the specified vnum as if you were editing it.

*showmobprogs showmobprogs [mvnum]

This shows the mobprogs of the specified mobile.

showobject showobject [ovnum]

This will show the specified object as if you were editing that object.

showresets showresets

This shows the resets in a room in a numbered list.

showroom showroom or showroom[brief|doors|resets|desc|all]

This gives you various ways of looking at a room while editing.

spells spells [ign|off|def|slf|obj|all]

This lists the spells and their slot numbers for use in setting values on items.

stop stop

This will exit you out of the builder.

umobs umobs

This shows which mob vnums in an area have been used and which are free.

uobjs uobjs

This shows which obj vnums in an area have been used and which are free.

urooms urooms

This shows which room vnums in an area have been used and which are free.

values values or values [type of eq]

This will show what the each of the values for each type of eq needs to be set. (Very generic)

weapons weapons

Gives a list of weapon types. Use the numbers to set value 2 on weapons.
